Pricing:
I offer a range of prices between $180-$200/hour for machine tattoo in Chicago ($200/hour while traveling) & $150/hour for handpoked tattoos everywhere. I have a one-hour minimum for all appointments.
A 7”x7” machine tattoo in black and gray ink takes me an average of 1.5-2 hours (depending on placement). The same size tattoo in color will likely take 2-2.5 hours
A 4”x4” handpoked tattoo takes me an average of 1.5 hours (depending on shading and placement). If you add color, it will take longer.
If you let me know your budget in your email submission, we can agree on a price before our appointment based on the size, placement, and level of detail of your proposal.
Deposit:
Once I receive your email, I will review your submission. If your submission is accepted, I will respond to your email with a link to book an appointment and to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit. This goes towards the final cost of the tattoo. It can be credited to a future date if you reschedule at least 48 hrs before our appointment (this does not apply while I am traveling).

Submissions & Appointments FAQs
PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
➢ Dwelling is a mask-optional studio. I will default to not wearing a mask, but I am happy to both wear masks upon request. Please let me know what you prefer when you arrive. If you're experiencing any symptoms or feeling sick, please let me know and we can reschedule.
➢ Please dress to be comfortable and with your intended placement in mind (Shorts for leg pieces, sports bra for torso, t-shirt or sleeveless shirt for shoulder piece, etc.). Accidental ink stains are likely, so consider wearing darker clothing to avoid any visible stains.
➢ Tattoos are tiring. Please come to your appointment well-fed and perhaps with some water and a snack just in case. We have both at the studio, but you may want to have something you know you like with you.
➢ For custom work, you will see the drawing the day of the appointment. I am happy to make edits and minor alterations to the design.
PAYMENTS
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash, venmo & zelle (I can’t accept credit card for now, but returning soon)
EMAILING
What types of proposals do you look for?
I always give priority to large scale work and submissions requesting abstract elements. My ideal proposal is one that gives me a bit of subject matter to work with, and also a lot of freedom to develop a composition or abstract design around that subject. In general, I am looking for pieces that give me the opportunity to think about tattoos as defining depth in the skin and play with positive and negative space in exciting ways. I only work in my style of dotwork/ fine-line tattooing and interpret any custom projects in that way.
What if I do not know what I want?
That is not a problem! Just let me know that you may not know what you want, but you are flexible regarding the design. Send me references from my past work that resonate with you so I have an idea of what you like. We can talk through different design ideas together before the appointment.
TOUCH UPS
➢ Touch ups for your tattoo are provided free of charge. If you would like one, please send me an email.
